SATURN SKY GRILL DRESS-UP KIT - good quality - poor instructions

I am a new Saturn Sky roadster owner and decided to dress up the car a bit. I saw these aluminum intake grills and the pictures looked good - So I decided to take a chance and ordered a set for my Red Line turbo - keeping my fingers crossed because there is so much junk and mis-representation out on the marketplace.

To my pleasant surprise as I unwrapped the well packaged grills - I saw what was very satisfactory quality in finish fit and ruggedness. That however is where my bubble of happiness was burst.

NOTE: My 4 star rating was for the MATERIAL 'product' Only - NOT the non existant installation help.

The instructions are - for lack of a better words - laughable! The installation hardware kit is absolutely useless! Actually LESS than useless!

The engineers that designed and fabricated this are to be commended. The oriental sales people who run the business here in the California should be hung up by their thunbs for even presenting such a fraud as their 'installation kit'!

The ONLY reason I did not IMMEDIATELY return the goods as impossible to install with their impossibly rediculous nonsense - was that I like the look of the product and decided that I would give it my best try to figure out a way to install the pieces without it looking rediculous or insecure.

As a physicist and former NASA materials engineer - I felt confident that I might be able to solve a seemingly impossible problem.

After several frustrating attempts - using tie-wraps ( bad idea) I almost gave up. After serious contemplation and a double Jack Damiels - I got a revelation that seemed plausable - so I went shopping the next day for my exotic secret grill mounting hardware.

Any way - it worked and the front of my car looks great. I absolutely do NOT recommend this prodeuct for ANYONE who does NOT Have a MUCH better than average 'mechanical' ability. It IS doable - but is NOT a no - brainer

Any Sky owner may feel free to contact me by Email and I will help you get the thing installed. The necessary hardware will cost a whopping $6 dollars and some basic power tools. winchester66@verizon.net

I would NOT recomment it due to the install difficulty unlss you want to take it to a dealer and spend a couple hundred dollars more for them to disassemble half your front end.
