5Best Protection for the $
By Jway5929
I cannot say enough good things about these armor plates. I have scraped on and come down HARD on so many rocks. I can't count the number of times these things have saved me. They give me the confidence to drive over anything. I purposefully set my belly on rocks and slide down them until my front wheels can touch again. Looking underneath, you can see scrapes, but only because the rocks have deposited crap on the plates. No dents, no gouges in the metal. I tell every JK owner who asks about these plates and haven't seen someone unhappy yet.

The ONLY negative. They are heavy, which will cause your jeep to sit slightly lower. I added these to my unlifted/stock 4 Door Rubicon at the same time as a front and rear steel bumper, winch and spare tire carrier. All that added weight caused my jeep to sit noticeably lower. I scrape on things that I wouldn't have before. It makes me want a lift even more.

BOTTOM LINE: I would highly recommend these be the first thing anyone with a JK adds (if your going off-road and doing more than mudding).
